Hotel Endsleigh with Nicola and James - Devon Wedding

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Nicola and James!!

Whilst Storm Eugene tried it’s best to scupper the big day, the wedding was saved at the midnight hour when the electricity was restored. Judging by the demeanour of the bride and groom, one imagines that had the wedding had to go ahead by candlelight it would’ve gone ahead without too much of hitch – they were very chilled, and super cool!

There are three things that are certain in life, ‘Death, taxes and it will be raining in Tavistock’ so the saying goes. Blimey didn’t the rain look set to hold but the weather gods shone some love and it ‘brightened up from the west’ and allowed us some time to amble about the sumptuous grounds, as well as giving us a little lift after the storm.

It’s such a privilege to be a wedding photographer in Devon (and further afield), as I get to travel to so many stunning venues. It has to be said, Hotel Endsleigh is right up there as one of the best – so much character, and so much warmth. Furthermore, the staff were amazing too. Speaking of ‘the best’, Amanda is one of my fave flourists! (she’s also a Chelsea Flower show gold medalist). The flowers were exquisite! Laslty; hats off to the band ‘Electric Kicks’. This is the second time I’ve been lucky enough to be with them at a wedding and they really are top drawer!

It was an absolute delight to be a part of the big day with Nicola and James and their wedding party, everyone was so warm and welcoming and it really was the most wonderful day!!

THANK YOU! big hugs. Andy x.

‘Set among 100 acres of wildly romantic Grade I listed gardens, Endsleigh’s setting in the Tamar Valley is in a class of its own. The gardens, designed by Humphry Repton, have verdant glades, secret grottos, ancient trees, rose-wreathed arches, a shell house, formal parterre, and lawns that sweep down towards the River Tamar. I defy you to want to leave, but if you must, Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor are a half-hour drive away.’ Suzy Bennett, The Telegraph.
